Have you ever wanted to do something so badly that you finally told the fear and doubt you’ve been harboring to step back and step off?
That is the energy I am bringing into the week ahead. Why? Because I am finally stepping into my purpose and it feels damn good.
Sometimes I get the feeling that people see me as intrinsically brave, but that is so far from the truth.
Sure, I moved to NYC on my own, I travel around the world, and I run my life, but let me tell you: starting something new still feels icky, uncomfortable, and beyond my comfort zone.
The dreams I am pursuing now? They have been with me for years. And although I am excited about what is to come, I still have many moments when I feel awkward and embarrassed each time I show up in a new way.
Raise your hand if you feel me!
I was inspired to explore this feeling in this week’s episode “Don’t Let Embarrassment Win” where I am offering up three ideas for how to keep it moving when you feel the awkwardness, the cringe, and the embarrassment of pursuing something new.
This week’s episode is for us.
Those of us who are starting new things, seeking change, who feel shy to show up sometimes, but are in the background quietly working and plotting.
We got this.
