Growth Hurts!

Growth Hurts!

It took me until damn near the end of the day to figure out what had me feeling so funky: this is the pain of growth.

Before I get into this, you should know: I am a birthday loving girl.

My birthday is on the last day of February, so that means I can take the entire month to celebrate. This year started out as no different. I got the flutter of excitement on Feb 1, and it lasted right up until the 27th.

But, on my day I woke up feeling extremely weird.

I felt blank, devoid of joy, and confused as to why my bday was hitting me so hard.

I had flashes of joy when my friends and family called me. I spent the day talking and laughing, but when it was just me listening to my internal voice, I found that I couldn’t shake this weird feeling.

It took me until damn near the end of the day to figure out what had me feeling so funky: this is the pain of growth.

When you are shifting into growing energy, it is not pleasant. It is uncomfortable, and it feels hurtful. It’s weird. But it is so necessary.

Once I understood my assignment, I started to feel more at ease. I also had some ideas for how I can face this season of growth which I share in the latest episode of The Fab Life Project show.

This episode is for you if:

  • you are gearing up for a season of change in your life and career
  • you want to know how you can think about approaching these changes
  • you’ve been feeling icky about the changes you want to make and you need ideas for how to go from frantic to flow.

I would love to hear from you! What type of energetic space are you going to be in this year? Are you building or growing? Or maybe…it’s a year for expansion?  Tell me in the comments!

P.S. Shoutout to all my fellow Pisces in the building!
